Live Luggage – Powered Assisted Suitcases

Traveling like a rock star means not having to lug all your personals around the airport, but if you can’t afford a personal assistant perhaps you can afford Live Luggage’s powered assisted suitcase instead.   The British luxury bag making company has designed a powered bag that uses a rechargeable 12V NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) battery pack located inside the base of the case.  The battery comes with a charger similar to that of a mobile phone and the suitcase is good for about 1.5 miles carrying 70lbs between charges.  Just in case the battery runs out of power while you’re walking, the wheels work as they would on a normal bag and with the included anti-gravity handle that distributes the majority of the bag’s weight over the powered wheels like a wheelbarrow you’ll be gliding through the airport with ease. $1,365 might be a bit pricey for a suitcase but at least it will fall in line behind you unlike some of the personal assistants out there that cost much more.

Gibson’s Robot Guitar

Gibson robot guitar

Toted as the world’s first guitar with robotic technology, Gibson’s innovative instrument is designed to do mostly one thing and do it well – it self tunes.  For years, musicians have had to make due with having to tune their guitars time and again during or after a gig. Well no more! The Gibson’s on board computer takes care of it all. Although, it may not be the first guitar to tune itself, the Gibson Robot Guitar is regarded as the most modern, unique, and un-invasive self-tuning model available on the market. There are a few models available that range between $1,000 – $3000, but the Blue Silverburst nitrocellulose finish used on the original model, as seen in the picture, is a color the company has stated it will never be used on another Gibson model again!
